At Kjøpmannstunet until April 30.
The volunteers at Innlandet have decided to breathe new life into Arnulf Øverland’s gallery in Kristiansund. This is the first exhibition of what will hopefully be a long series of art shows.

In just three months, Kjøpmannstunet Wirumbrygga has managed to become Kristiansund’s new meeting place. It is a very charming place a little out of the ordinary. Here you can have a cup of coffee and sit for more or less as long as you like. You kan knit, you can chat, you can join in the sing-along, or abstain, and from some tables you can enjoy a unique view over the strait and the city. You can join a yoga class, a quiz or visit the market. Now you can also experience an exhibition on the second floor, a long-awaited event for art enthusiasts, and hopefully the start of an arena where more local artists can show their work in the future.
My current exhibition presents 18 photographs from Kristiansund. The images are located at the breaking point between the abstract and the figurative. The motifs are taken out of their context and thereby tell new stories – as they so often do in my work. These photos are still printet on aluminum, and are not manipulated – what you see is the actual snapshot.
I am terribly sorry for not having published the dates here before now. The opening was on the 6th, and I wish to thank all the people who were there to share this day with me.
Opening hours: Tuesdays and Saturdays from 11 to 15 / Sundays from 12 to 16
Free entry – sales exhibition
Address: N, Fiskergata 8, 6507 Kristiansund – Norway

“Scener fra Kristiansund” won’t leave the stage
Operafestukene i Kristiansund 2023 is over. It is really the cultural highlight of the year in our quiet little town – 18 wonderful days of music, dance, visual art, talks, dinners, … 60 events in total! We had a blast!
Although the festival is over, “Scener fra Kristiansund” is not. The exhibition goes on for a few more weeks, with “ad hoc” opening hours and private viewings on demand. Follow me on Facebook and instagram for more details.

Works in the making
I am currently in a creative process, working on two separate projects. Separate may not be the right term, as they always address the same underlying motive and are always inspired by my immediate surroundings.
The first project is a new series. I haven’t given it a name yet. I am trying to find the right support. I have printed a few pictures on paper. I am also looking for the right galleri. We’ll see…

The second project is a book – photography and texts. If all goes as planned, it will be available before Easter 2023.

VHW at Galleri Barbara
This week I am going to Sunndalsøra with 10-12 pictures for my next solo exhibition.
Due to the pandemic, I have decided not to hold a classic opening. There will be a small digital event on Friday at 7 PM (at https://fb.me/e/1bR00WBjx), and if all goes well, I will have a “packing event” in January. ✨🎶
The opening hours will be:
Monday to Friday 09.00 – 23.00
Sundays 16.00 – 23.00
and between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. 14.00 – 21.00
(Opening hours may be subject to changes – it can be a good idea to call Sunndal kulturhus in advance, to make sure you have the latest opening hours)
Stay safe – remember to hold your distances, wash your hands, and stay home if you are not well.

A Few More Weeks at Nordic light fotohus
I was very glad to learn that my pictures can stay at Nordic light fotohus a little bit longer. What is even more exciting is that there will be music and dance in that very room under this year’s Festspillene I Kristiansund, September 23 to 26. Here is all you need to know about the festival.
